Privacy Policy

Keyboard Warrior is a typing-practice game with optional online leaderboards, 1v1 duels, and a friends system. This policy covers exactly what data that requires, why, and how you can have it removed — nothing more.

What we collect

Account

Your email address, and — for Google sign-in — your Google display name, via Firebase Authentication. Used only to identify your account.

Public profile

If you claim a Spartan name, your chosen name, avatar emoji, and country flag appear on leaderboards, in duels, and on your warrior profile (level, rank, best scores, achievements). Nothing else about your account is made public.

Gameplay

WPM, accuracy, consistency, XP, level, streaks, unlocked achievements, and duel history — stored so progress carries across sessions and devices.

Allies

Friend requests, accepted friendships, and the in-app notifications (requests, acceptances, duel invites) exchanged between you and players you interact with.

Location

Only read if you choose Nearby matchmaking. Your approximate coordinates find a nearby opponent in the moment and are not stored or used for anything else. Skip Nearby, and none is ever collected.

Guest mode

Progress stays on-device only — nothing is uploaded, and you won't appear on leaderboards or be reachable by allies as a guest.

How it's used

To create, secure, and sign you back into your account.
To save and sync your progress, achievements, and settings.
To run leaderboards, 1v1 duels, matchmaking, and the Allies system.
To deliver notifications relevant to your account (friend requests, duel invites).

How it's shared

We don't sell your data, and we don't run third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Account data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure), processed on our behalf under Google's privacy policy. Profile information you've chosen to make public — name, avatar, country, scores, achievements — is visible to other players, as described in §01.

Security

Data lives in Firebase Authentication and Firebase Realtime Database, gated by server-side security rules — only you can write to your own account's data.

Retention & deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists.

Request deletion of your account and all associated data, from the email address tied to your account.

Children's privacy

Keyboard Warrior isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us so we can remove it.
